About Hatters Daily and our sources
Last updated October 3, 2026.
Hatters Daily is a free site for Medicine Hat, Alberta: today's weather and conditions, a local directory, a weekly stamp board and a pile of games. It is made and run by Jareds Digital Agency in Medicine Hat. It is independent. It is not run, endorsed or approved by the City of Medicine Hat, Environment and Climate Change Canada or any business listed here.
Where the information comes from
- Weather, weather warnings, air quality (AQHI) and river readings: Source: Environment and Climate Change Canada, used under the Environment and Climate Change Canada Data Services End-use Licence. Warnings are shown as issued. River readings are provisional and are not a flood warning, so for official advisories use Alberta Rivers. Air quality is the Air Quality Health Index for the Medicine Hat station.
- Bin day: pickup dates follow the City of Medicine Hat 2026 Residential Waste Collection Calendar and Map, published by the City's Environmental Utilities. Zone descriptions on this site are approximate. The City's calendar and map decide which zone your address is in, and if the two ever disagree, the City is right.
- The directory: compiled from public information about local businesses and services. Phone numbers, addresses and hours change, so please check before you go. Being listed is free and does not mean a business paid or endorses this site.
- Sponsored messages: if a business has agreed to appear, it is clearly labelled Sponsored. Nothing else on the site is paid for.
Games and business names
The games are original. A few of them use real Medicine Hat business and place names in a friendly way, with no logos and nothing negative. If you run a business and would rather not appear in a game, or you want a listing corrected or removed, email [email protected] and it will be done.
No guarantees
We work hard to keep things right, but this site is provided as is. Do not rely on it for emergencies, safety decisions or anything where a wrong detail could hurt someone. In an emergency call 911, and for official weather and flood information use Environment Canada and Alberta Rivers.
